University students’ studies are hampered by members of the “Fees must fall” movement

The North-West University’s Mafeking campus has been closed since Monday due to student riots fueled by the student union.

A spokesperson for NWU, Louis Jacobs, confirmed that students were ordered to leave campus until further notice.

Those who are serious about their studies are harmed by the union that makes the incitement to make the riots violent.

Similar riots have been occurring at the Natal University of Westville campus since Tuesday, and once again it is the student union that harms the students for not doing their studies.

Union-backed students arrived on campus on Wednesday, armed with homemade gasoline bombs and other weapons, and began to pose a threat to staff and students who wanted to attend classes.

Apparently, the short-sighted “Fees must fall” movement started the uprising, knowing that hundreds of students are only arriving at university for the purpose of disruption.

Ramaphosa hides serious problems in SA, including farm murders, at the Africa Conference

The ANC’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, in his speech at an African Conference, used the opportunity to hide his country’s serious problems by emphasizing the importance of unity among the 55 member states of the African Union.

He pointed out the pillars of the AU and said economic integration, women’s empowerment, and good governance are the three priorities that South Africa must advance while chairing this year.

The meeting in the building of the Department of International Relations is only a taste of the planned meeting of heads of state to be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on February 8 and 9 this year.

The last time South Africa had the chair was in 2002 and now, 18 years later, the country has been re-elected to take the lead.

To date, the 55 member states of the AU have not been able to do much to mitigate the 1.2 billion impoverished inhabitants of Africa’s plight.

Corona virus spreads dramatically – How long before it will reach South Africa and will the ANC regime able to curb it ?

The dreaded new Corona virus is spreading at a tremendous pace and has already killed more than 100 cases, with more than 4,500 reported cases of infection.

The Chinese’s desperate efforts at dozens of measures to curb the spread of the virus are seen as a futile exercise by scientists.

According to a panel of scientists, it is projected that the cases that already have an infection are closer to 45,000, and that the infections double every week.

The government has closed ten cities to prevent back and forth, and two hospitals, each with 1,000 beds, have been set up to accommodate the patients who are flowing to hospitals.

Allegations are being made that the Communist government of China will not disclose the real state of affairs in order to protect the image and business confidence.

10 Babies die at Tembisa Hospital, Gauteng due to outbreak of antibiotic resistant bacteria – deaths could have been avoided if there was sustainable hygiene and sufficient staff

The SA Human Rights Commission says the Tembisa Hospital in Gauteng urgently needs more staff after another 10 babies have died in the institution.

The babies born in the hospital have died in recent weeks, and although numerous reasons have been stated, the hospital is held responsible for the death of all the babies.

The allegations are that insects are causing the death of another 10 babies, which are believed to be present due to poor hygiene in the building.

The outbreak of antibiotic-resistant bacteria caused the babies to die in less than two months, and now the Human Rights Commission says the hospital will solve the problem by appointing more staff.

However, experts believe the problem could have been avoided with good, and sustainable, hygiene, which does not necessarily mean that more staff is needed.

Universities and the new SA – Barbaric actions of “previously disadvantaged groups” destroy tertiary institutions across the country free education

The 2020 academic year has not yet begun and students are already busy. The SA Student Union has called on students to boycott all registration processes until their requirements have been met. Students’ student debt should now be written off while it has already been admitted that some students do not have to pay registration fees. Violent protests have already taken place at three tertiary institutions viz. Natal University, Potchefstroom University or North-West University and the University of SA. Northwestern University closed their campus at Mahikeng and ordered students to leave campus.

What is happening now is a continuation of violence and destruction of the properties of tertiary institutions in recent years. Students’ tireless actions have caused billions of dollars worth of damage to universities and technikons. The process is, of course, the result of the destruction of schools throughout the country.

Eskom said in a statement that the power system was under severe pressure this morning and the power supplier is currently using diesel generators to meet electricity demand.

According to the statement, the maintenance of units was delayed, which meant that diesel generators had to run through the night.

“Although we have enough emergency reserves to replenish capacity during the day, we may need to put in load tonight to replenish diesel and water with our open-cycle gas turbines and pump storage schemes,” Eskom explains.

Unplanned power outages stood at 13 063 MW at 06:30. This is a bit more compared to Wednesday’s 12 620 MW.

The power provider is asking users to use electricity sparingly while haunting to get power outages below the 9,500 MW target.

Embattled National Carrier gets R3.5bn lifeline from Development Bank

SA Airways (SAA) has secured R3.5bn in funding from the Development Bank of Southern Africa.

“Discussions held with financial institutions have been fruitful,” joint SAA business rescue practitioners Les Matuson and Siviwe Dongwana said in a statement on Tuesday.

The business rescue practitioners, supported by the departments of public enterprises and National Treasury, obtained the funding needed to meet the short term liquidity requirements of the airline.

“Discussions held with financial institutions have been fruitful, with the DBSA offering to provide the next tranche of funding, for a total amount of R3.5bn, with an immediate drawdown of R2bn.

“Furthermore, funding for the restructuring phase after the [business rescue] plan is adopted is being considered by potential funders,” read the statement.

Lesufi once again disregards rights of Afrikaans-speaking communities in Combined School in Cullinan

It is clear that Panyaza Lesufi, Gauteng MEC for Education, is continuing his assault on the Afrikaans-speaking community as he abolished Afrikaans at the Combined School in Cullinan.

According to the Gauteng Department of Education, the decision to do away with Afrikaans as medium of instruction at the school was made due to the waning number of Afrikaans learners attending the school.

The FF Plus, however, views it as scandalous that the Department has no regard for minority rights, and Afrikaans minority rights in particular. In fact, this is a case of double standards because Afrikaans schools are targeted and forced to accommodate learners who speak other languages and are even expected to build new classrooms, while Afrikaans learners are being turned away from certain other schools where Afrikaans as medium of instruction was done away with.

Farm attack: Victim strangled with scarf and genitals hacked with sharp object, Bapsfontein

Farm attackers strangled a man with a scarf and hacked his genitals with a sharp object.

A bloodied Timothy Rademeyer, 51, and his partner, Dirkie Voges, 61, were found on their farm in the Welbekend area near Bapsfontein on Wednesday.

Voges could walk up to the farm road and call for help.

Candice Allison, a local paramedic, was one of the first people to rush to the farmhouse to help the couple.

Her cousin, Ian Jackson, was driving past the couple’s farm around 7:30 a.m. when he saw the bloodied Voges along the road.

He immediately rushed to Allison about 3 km and told her to help urgently.

A bloody scene greeted Allison.

A scarf with which the attackers strangled Rademeyer was so tightly knit that she had to cut it loose. One of his ribs was also presumably broken.

“He had ugly cuts to his head and arms. His private parts were also cut, ”says Allison.

Will SA consider nuclear power plants and will it be safe in the hands of a Third World country ruled by the ANC regime?

It hangs on everyone’s lips: Will South Africa’s regime consider purchasing another nuclear power generation plant similar to the Koeberg plant.

South Africa is fast moving backwards and has long been no country with First World standards. With the regime’s latest efforts to light the lights, it is clear that there is so much pressure on the Ramaphosa government that they are in no way approaching one task after another and finding solutions.

Finance Minister Tito Mboweni was very busy at the Davos summit, but his busy time was only to kill fires over the Eskom scandal and the empty state coffers that lack the ability to borrow money to save SAL .

That raises the question of whether nuclear power plants are the answer to SA’s power supply, but experts believe the Koeberg power station is a prime example of First World equipment, and in fact can’t be safe in the hands of a Third World country.”
