When it comes to nuclear, there is no such thing as leaving things to chance or not having ample room, and money, to cover all the bases. It became clear the ANC regime has no clue what this means as the NECSA board resigned, amidst information that NECSA is totally bankrupt. As the rats jump ship, will we ever find out what THEY did with all the money? Or is Gwede simply not up to the job of budgeting for his department, having been warned June last year?

Video: Double Amputee Discharged From State Hospital with Mortal Infection, Left to Die Without even Morphine. Needs help!
Home invasion victim Braam Blignault lost both his legs from wounds suffered during a home invasion and is waiting to die after contracting an infection and does not even have money for morphine to dull the pain. Young South African Braam Blignault lost both his legs since making this (english-language) video below.
He is now at home waiting to die, the state hospital has said they can do no more for him.
This family cannot afford health insurance and therefore they cannot afford the morphine he needs to stay comfortable and at least make the most of the time he has left with his wife and kids. He has an infection in his pelvis and a septic wound where the skin is too weak to be stitched together.
Braam and his family are now entirely dependent on donations and support from friends and family. Donations in South Africa can be sent to him at:

Medical funds are becoming increasingly unreasonable – People will now have to pay more for towards their medical aid premium, this while state hospitals are plunged into chaos
Although it has become a common practice for medical schemes to adjust their rates upwards every year, there are concerns that they will increase significantly for 2020.
Medical costs in South Africa have skyrocketed while the state hospitals are in chaos and no one can dare to be admitted.
The problems of those who do not have a medical aid are far worse than those who now have to accept a sharp rise in rates.
Of the schemes, rates increase by up to 11%, which has become so high for many members of a scheme that it is unaffordable.
Younger people can afford to only take out a hospital plan as a package, but the older people get, the more they need a comprehensive package, which is where the financial bottleneck comes from.
Discovery Health Medical Scheme (DHMS) members will pay significantly more for their medical coverage in 2020.
DHMS’s weighted average premium increase of 9.5% for 2020 does not bode well for premium

Doctors get a lifeline as government considers shortening internships from two years to one
Shortening doctors’ internships from two years to one is being mooted to alleviate the strain in the training of doctors.
Health department spokesperson Popo Maja said: “What we know is that one of the health stakeholders did entertain the idea of internship training being reviewed. But it is too early for us to say anything about it.”
Two-year internships help medical students translate their theoretical knowledge into practice under the supervision of experienced doctors after their studies. One-year community service helps provide health care to under-served areas.
South African Medical Association (Sama) chairperson Dr Angelique Coetzee said there was currently a bottleneck, with too few internships to accommodate medical students graduating in SA and abroad, especially in Cuba.
“Where does one place that large amount of people coming in, plus these who you have already?” Coetzee said. “There is a big b
